About the Fond du Lac Area Safety Council

The Fond du Lac Area Safety Council, a division of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, promotes safety in industries, homes, traffic and public places by providing:

  • Educational Forums
  • Professional Networking
  • Recognition for Outstanding Safety Programs & Records

Other activities include:

General membership meetings are held in September, November, January, February, March and April on the 2nd Monday evening of the month. All meetings are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fond du Lac. A family-style dinner is served promptly at 6:00 pm and the program begins immediately following the meal.

"What If?"  - September 17, 2007

What if your business was faced with a hazardous condition?  Would you know how to handle it or what to do in case of emergency?

This new interactive session will lead participants through a hazardous scenario.  Learn new ideas to help your company if something were to happen to you!

Best Safety Practices - November 12, 2007 

3 hands on stations designed to give the attendee something tangible to take back to train their employees.

  • Personal Hygiene

This is always our most popular program.  Get involved and view new methods of training employees.

"OSHA's Most Interesting Cases in WI" - January 14, 2008

Every business works with OSHA - an important piece of any work environment, this organization helps with company standards while auditing its expectations.

Join the Safety Council as they learn about OSHA's most interesting cases in the state of Wisconsin.  What does OSHA find when they do a site visit?  This program will give you a birds eye view!

"Company Wellness - Strong Hearts, Strong Minds" - February 11, 2008  (Note Month Change)  (Safety Poster Contest Night)

Discover the benefits of getting your employees to take charge of their health.  Local experts will discuss options and ideas to get people moving.  Listen to companies that implemented wellness programs and succeeded!  Wear red, we are celebrating healthy hearts.  We will also announce the winners from our "Wellness" Safety Poster Contest.

"Work Zone/Traffic Safety" - April 14, 2008  (Incident Awards, Spouses & Guest Night)

What is the speed limit in a work zone?  What road hazards should you be on the look out for?
